MY CHOICE WITHDREW YOU

5th week of Eastertide Jn 15.18-21
A Christian is a withdrawn person; he/she has been selected and set apart for a purpose. For you to really fulfil your mission as a Christian, you must know that you have been chosen and set apart. You have a mission, you are not here just like that. You must find out what you have been selected to do. Any call or selection is for a purpose.

Purposefulness is very important, it goes with a sense of direction and drive. Jesus Himself was purposeful, He knew He was in the world for a mission and He kept on being in communion with the Father to discover and fulfill that mission. We need God’s presence and support in order to fulfill His will. When Jesus promised to send the Advocate, He knew that we need the presence of the Advocate in this journey.

The selection of a Christian sets him/her against people with opposing mission, this is why being a Christian can bring one enmity from people with different agenda and purpose. There are also Christians who follow the enemy’s agenda while answering the name of a Christian. May the Lord protect us from the hatred of the enemy and the world through Christ our Lord. Amen
