YOU WILL NOT SEE DEATH
When Jesus said that anyone who believe in Him will never see death, the Jews confirmed Him to be mad. They challenged Him by Abraham and other prophets. Jesus had to escape lynching. If there’s anything that set Jesus apart, it is His power over death. If He never conquered death, then, every other thing is a story for history and archives. Death signifies the limitations and powerlessness of man. Without the resurrection, the Cross remains powerless and a curse. The woes and agony of man were destroyed by Jesus when He defied the power of death. The best News out of this story which we are looking forward to celebrating in Easter, is that we are part of it. Jesus did not just conquer death, those who believe in Him have also conquered death. This is a message of freedom from fear, depression, despair, darkness, sorrow, tears, weakness, frustration and all the evil associated with death. You are no more slave, you are a child of God, the resurrection power is in you. The bondage, grief and pain of death have no power over you, you will not see death in Jesus name, Amen. ‘A CHRISTIAN IS NOT AN ORDINARY PERSON’ Fr. Dan Duru
