The Cursillo Movement alive in the Diocese

Approximately Thirty 30 men of the Diocese of St. George’s in Grenada gathered at the Mt. St. Ervan’s Retreat Centre, Grenada for a Cursillo Weekend “a Three-Day Weekend, 18th – 21st April 2024”, which began Thursday evening and ended Sunday evening.

The team which included Twenty-one laymen assisted by Four Priests including the Spiritual Advisor Fr Andrew Barnard and Two Deacons who provided an opportunity and the environment for the eight New Cursillistas to live their Cursillo.

The team and candidates lived as a small Christian community over the weekend Calling upon the Holy Spirit for enlightenment and guidance and discussing matters of faith, their relationship with God, and their apostolate (service in the world and church).

By the end of the weekend, both team and candidates shared testimonies of having a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and a better understanding of the power of the Holy Spirit.

The New Cursillistas left the weekend knowing that they had been called to spread the Word of God.
